Biography

Andrew Swenson is a first year Health Policy (Health Economics) PhD. His research interests include pharmaceutical innovation and marketing, health provider market concentration, and insurance design. Before coming to Stanford, Andrew was an economic consultant at Cornerstone Research where he worked on antitrust and biostatistics cases. This work involved evaluating the impact of hospital mergers and the efficacy and safety of various drugs. Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Amherst College.
