Daniel Guth

Daniel Guth is a research data analyst at Stanford Health Policy, supporting the research of Adrienne Sabety and Maya Rossin-Slater, and affiliated with the Stanford Center for Population Health Sciences. He works with large-scale Medicaid administrative records, performing causal inference and quantitative analyses using Python, R, SQL, and SAS. Before coming to Stanford, Daniel was a postdoctoral associate at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he studied opioid use disorder, treatment access, and maternal health in Medicare and Medicaid claims as well as EHR data. He received his PhD in Social Science and his BS in Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology. His research interests include health economics, public policy, machine learning, and health services research.
