Mark is an economist and Associate Professor of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he teaches courses on the economics of health care, public policy, and the social safety net. His research studies the U.S. health insurance system, using methods from industrial organization and public economics, and studies issues like the health insurance coverage and take-up, insurance market competition and regulation, and the ordeals and complexities of the U.S. health insurance system.
