Stanford Health Policy Symposium: The Future of Nursing Report: Leading Change, Advancing Health

Join us in learning about an often under-appreciated aspect of health policy – the health care workforce, in particular, the role of our nation’s 3 million nurses. Recently, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) released a landmark report, supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), on the Future of Nursing with recommendations for a path forward. We are bringing together an expert panel of nurses, doctors, researchers, thought leaders, policy makers and implementers representing efforts at local, State and national levels. They will highlight the contribution of nursing to the health care delivery system; and present evidence-based recommendations for action for nursing-related policies to improve prevention and care across the lifespan.
