Robert DeBusk founded and directs the Stanford Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, which focuses on developing more effective methods of managing chronic diseases. His major interests include the development of case management systems to facilitate chronic disease management including hypertension, diabetes mellitus and congestive heart failure, modification of coronary risk factors after acute myocardial infarction, and evaluation of the efficacy of guidelines for the management of patients hospitalized with acute myocardial infarction.
